Our Nature Day was a great success!

Thanks to everyone who attended our Nature Day on Saturday 31st May.

Around 30 people of all ages turned up and enjoyed walks round the Meadow, identifying wildlife with Steve Bolton from Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. Melanie Oxley, one of our Trustees supervised a survey of wild flowers and grasses and Simon Bizley from Hampshire Bats brought some roosting boxes to show us (he has already put 6 up in the Meadow)

We also identified a a variety of beautiful moths that we had caught in a moth trap the evening before.

I and the other Trustees really enjoyed meeting so many enthusiastic supporters of our lovely Meadow and hope it will be the first of many such days!
